THE STORY OF WHISK & WHIRL

Whenever I get the stand mixer ready to whisk up the batter for my latest cake creation, it immediately rekindles the childhood memories of me sitting on the kitchen worksurface, whether with my Mum or Nanny Gwen, waiting in anticipation for them to hand me the whisk and empty mixing bowl so I could get stuck in. From there my love for baking and making sweet treats was born. Some of the equipment I use to this day has been handed down through the generations which always gives me that sense of nostalgia.

Now with two children of my own, it’s their turn to wait for the cake batter to be poured into the baking tin, so they can stick their head in and lick the bowl.

After much encouragement from my family, I recently decided to open Whisk & Whirl. We are a family, home run business, hoping to share our delicious creations.

We offer a personalised service to meet individual requirements. Whether you are looking for a celebration cake or a box of cupcakes, we can tailor the flavour and design for any individual or occasion. Our edible printer allows us to print messages or imagery on wafer paper or icing sheets, and our digital cutting machine means we can design and cut cake toppers.
